Created during my artist residency at Traditional Dream Factory, this project was inspired by local stories of hedgehogs and the vibrant spirit of Mexican alebrijes. I developed a method to craft these spiky creatures using reclaimed wood scrap.

I created four large sculptures and several smaller companions to inhabit the land as symbols of connection to the surrounding nature. Scattered across the property, they have taken on a playful life of their own—frequently moved around by people and popping up in unexpected corners.
